So far my junior year has been packed full of work. I have a ton of homework just about every day. Thankfully, I’m on pace on all of my classes and I plan to keep it that way. I don’t think I’ve ever been so busy before. I’m constantly worrying about what assignments are due and for what class they’re due. Something that makes this more difficult than it should be is my tendency to procrastinate. During my elementary/junior high school years I remember always doing my work practically the second it was assigned. I don’t know what happened. These days, whenever a big assignment is due I always find myself doing it the last day before it’s due. But I suppose it’s not a major problem because I at least get my work turned in on time. However, I would prefer getting it done as soon as possible so I wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore and continue any other work for my other classes. I really hope this habit goes away by my senior year because I can only imagine how much more work I’m going to have.
In addition to this, I fear for my senior year. I always over hear people saying how difficult It is. I feel like I’m not prepared for it but it’s coming closer and closer whether I like it or not. Another reason I feel like I’m not prepared is because I haven’t got a clue what college I’m going to. I feel like everyone but me knows what they wanna do with their life and what college they’re going to. People, especially family, are now beginning to ask me the dreaded, “what do you wanna do after high school”, question. It sure is embarrassing when my answer is always, “I don’t know”.
Something else I just can’t get my mind off is the fact that this year is almost over. 2014 went by so quickly, it’s unreal. Sure, 2015 sounds exciting and futuristic but when I think about next year the first thing that comes to mind is all the work I’m going to have for the second semester of my junior year. First semester was pretty okay though. I got a lot done but I kind of want to do more for second semester. I’ve noticed that I don’t really aim for level 4’s. For some reason I’m just okay with the bare minimum which is a 3. But I think I should start to push myself a little more to get level 4’s. Ever since I was informed in my English class on how super important having 4’s are for college and such, I’ve felt more motivated to try harder. I’m trying this out by doing level 4 for module 3 in English. So far it’s actually not so bad. I’m really considering doing more level 4’s in all of my other classes. I think pushing myself to do more work will benefit me and my grades greatly.
